The bank is entitled to add, alter, add/or amend these terms & conditions as deemed fit in its absolute discretion and without assigning any reason whatsoever and the same shall be binding on the cardholder.
The cardholder will be informed, well in advance, the changes in the terms and conditions by the bank. Any change / amendments in the terms and conditions informed whether through a pamphlet or Bill Message in the Monthly bills sent or SMS or e-mail and display in our Website "UnionbankofIndiaofIndia.co.in" shall be binding on the cardholder.
The cardholder is liable to pay all cost of collection of dues if it becomes necessary to refer the matter to a collections Agent appointed by the Bank for this purpose or where legal recourse for enforcement of payment has been taken.
In respect of any queries on the monthly Bill Bank will take reasonable steps to assist the cardholder by providing information in relation to the charges charged to the cardholder's account. Prescribed charges will be debited to the cardholder's account for such information furnished.
If a Merchant establishment issues a refund, in respect of a charge, the Bank will upon receipt of such refund amount credit to the cardholder's account. In all circumstances the card holder shall pay the full amount shown on the monthly Bill and no claim by the cardholder shall be entertained by the Bank for set-off or counter claims against the Bank.
The Bank shall not be liable for any act or omission of any third party supplier including an insurance company offering any privilege or benefit to the cardholder and any dispute arising there from should be directly settled with by the cardholder.
The Bank may, subject to the satisfactory conduct of the cardholder account continue to issue renewal cards or replacement cards and add-on-cards until the cardholder instructs the Bank well in advance to stop renewal/replacement of the cards in writing.
The renewal/replacement fees shall be charged to the cardholder's account annually as the case may be.
The card once issued, remains the property of the Bank and the Bank reserves the right to reclaim the same and to revoke the cardholder's/add-on cardholder right to use the card at any time without any notice and without assigning any reason whatsoever. The revocation/repossession of the card by the Bank shall not constitute any reflection on the cardholder's character or credit worthiness and Bank shall not be responsible for any statement made by any person requesting the returns or surrender of the card.
The cardholder hereby authorises the Bank to approach his/her employer or his/her banker for attachment of the salaries/assets/ monies against any outstanding balances on the card and to do all acts deeds and things, which the Bank may deem fit in connection there with. This shall serve the termination of the card facility until all the dues to the bank are paid in full together with all costs and expenses.
The cardholder agrees that a copy produced from an electronic stored media of any document relating to his/her account with Bank or produced from the soft data received electronically from a Merchant establishment's point of sale terminal or ecommerce transaction performed through Internet or Intra Voice Response (IVR) system or from the cardholder himself/herself shall be admissible to prove the contents of the document for any purpose.
Any hardcopy of the bill/communication or notice sent by the Bank to the cardholder's address last notified in writing to the Bank shall be deemed to have been received by the cardholder within 7 days of its posting of such hard copy / notice and/or any soft copy sent to the Registered e-mail address provided by the cardholder.
Any notice sent by the fax or e-mail or communicated verbally should be confirmed in writing by post. The bank shall not be held responsible for any delay in receipt of any Bill / communication or notices sent by post.
If any discrepancy is noticed in the Bill it should be brought to the notice of the Bank within 30 days of the date of Bill failing which it shall be construed that the Card holder has confirmed and accepted all the transactions.
Any change in the cardholder's employment and or office/ residential address shall be informed to the Bank in writing immediately upon such change occurring.
The Bank is here by authorised to contact Cardholder's employer, bank, CIBIL, credit reporting agencies, credit bureaus or any other information source and obtain, exchange, disclose any information which the Bank may require to operate the Cardholder's account.
The bank is hereby authorised to provide information on the cardholder, confidentially to reputed third parties employed by the bank for administrative reasons in connection with the operation of the credit card business, any third party whose name or logo appear on the Card / Charge slip and Reserve Bank of India and / or any other statutory or official of Government of India or of any State Government in India.
The cheques issued towards card dues by the cardholder shall not be returned for any reason. The Cardholder hereby authorises the Bank to present the cheque returned any number of times during the validity period of the cheque towards realisation of the dues to the Bank. The Bank reserves the right to proceed against the Cardholder for returning the cheque for financial reasons as per provision of Law including filing of criminal complaint under sec. 138 of the Negotiable instruments Act.
No interest will be paid on any credit balances in the Cardholder's account.
Other Important Matter
Issuance of Credit Card and fixing Card Limits is at the sole discretion of the Bank and is based on documents submitted and on Income Criteria.
BREAKAGE/LOSS OF CARD:
Any card broken by accident/mishandling may be replaced by Bank at nominal charge on receipt of a request along with the broken card from the cardholder to that effect.
In case the card is lost or stolen, the cardholder should immediately intimate the bank of the loss of the card in writing and lodge an FIR of the loss of the card duly furnishing the full details viz., card number, name and other relevant information like the details of circumstances under which the card was lost or stolen.
The cardholder shall remain liable for all the transactions resulting from the use of the card for 30 days from the date of receipt of the written intimation of the loss of the card by the Bank. Verbal information should be confirmed in writing to the Bank within 24 hours of the intimation.
The Bank may replace the lost/stolen card on payment of the replacement charges and the outstanding balance in the card account and on completion of all the formalities and on receiving the lost card report in the prescribed format from the cardholder.
The Cardholder shall be charged the prescribed fee for placing the lost/stolen card details on the Hot card alert/Bulletin irrespective of whether the card is reissued or not. The Hot listing / Lost Card charges Rs.200/- shall be levied to the card holder even if the card is traced subsequently.
TERMINATION:
The agreement shall stand terminated on the death or insolvency of the cardholder and the bank will be entitled to recover the entire dues against the card immediately on the death or insolvency of the card holder and the Bank retains the right to proceed against the legal heirs of the cardholder.
The Bank will have right of lien/set off in respect of all monies and securities which the bank holds in the name of cardholder and or Add-on cardholder standing to their credit in any accounts whatsoever with the bank or in possession or custody of the Bank without any relation to the age of the debt/liability, without any notice to the cardholder.
The Legal heirs, assigns, legalities and nominees of the card holder will remain liable to the Bank for the amounts due on the cardholder's account in case of death of the cardholder.
Procedure for surrender of card by cardholder-Due notice
The card holder has to inform the bank one month before the expiry date for cancellation of card. The card holder is at liberty to cancel the card at any time before the expiry of the card.
Roll over Credit Facility
You can choose to pay only MPD & the balance can be carried forward to the subsequent months. M.P.D. is 5% of the Bill amount subject to minimum of 100/-. If there is any unpaid M.P.D. of the previous months then the respective M.P.Ds also will be added on to the M.P.D. for the current month. If for any reason the outstanding balance exceeds the sanctioned limit, then the exceeded portion of the amount will also be added to M.P.D.
Method of Payment
Payment of credit card bills are accepted in cash or cheque across the counter at all Branches of Union bank of India. The Union bank of India Debit cardholders can pay dues through any of our ATMs.
Union bank of India Customers can opt for standing instructions for payment of "Total bill amount" OR Minimum Payment Due from their operative Accounts.
Union bank of India customers with Internet banking facility can pay the Card dues through the option available by logging in to www.Unionbankofindia.co.in
Credit Cardholder's can also make payment from any other Bank through NEFT, IMPS, UPI etc can pay their dues through bill desk by visiting our Union bank of India website www.Unionbank.in under online services. Payment can be done through Union Mobil app

INSURANCE
Group Accident Insurance Cover is available to the cardholder at an option with nominal payment of premium through the card account by giving the consent. The eligible age group for Group Accident Insurance Coverage is 18-79 years. Cardholders having more than one credit card of our Bank shall be eligible for Insurance coverage of one main card and its Add on cards only. Union Bank is only a facilitator in settlement of Insurance claims and Bank is not liable in this matter Whatsoever. The Cardholder further acknowledges that the Insurance benefits so provided will be paid only after the adjustments of the card dues.
DISCLOSURE
Acceptance of an application for a credit card is based on no adverse reports of the cardholder's credit worthiness. Union bank of India may report to other banks of financial entities any delinquencies in the card account or withdrawal of the cardholder's credit facility, based on the receipt of adverse reports.
I have applied for the credit card after understanding the terms conditions mentioned above. I accept the above terms and conditions through digital mode by using the device IP and OTP generated through my registered mobile number.
